My last speeding ticket was twenty years ago, but it was a good one. I was driving my black 914 Porsche South on the Glendale Freeway down a long hill. I was not paying attention to my speed or where I was. Suddenly I saw the offramp for the 134 West, only I was in the left lane doing about 90. I quickly looked in my mirrors and veered right across three lanes. As I did I heard a noise behind me, and saw a blur in my rearview. I made it off the freeway and was merging into the traffic on the 134 when I saw a cloud of dust behind me. Out of that cloud of dust came a CHP Motor Cycle Officer hell bent on catching me. When the siren and red lights came on, I pulled over and when the officer walked up to the right side of my car, he was sweating and shaking. He immediately started screaming at me, accusing me of deliberately running him off the road. After his supervisor showed up, and the details emerged, the story unfolded. He had observed me speeding several miles back in the fast lane and had come up just behind me and to my right to pull me over. At he time he was almost to the rear of my car, I made my three lane move to the right. He had to slam on the brakes to avoid me and lost control of the bike, skidding off the road and into the dirt. He than recovered and pursued me. I was ticketed for speeding, an unsafe lane change, and endangering the life of a Police Officer. I was fined heavily, had my license suspended until I completed a safe driver course, and have never had a ticket since then. Points I cannot remember, but I remember the fine. $500.00

This may be unbelievable to some people but...

In the 35 yrs. I've been driving, I have yet to get a ticket of any kind.

Not bragging, just being truthful. Not to say I've been a "perfect" driver, just haven't gotten a ticket. Have been stopped, however.

Sorry!
