Why do we have to do soething about illegal immigrants ?

Perfect example.....On the news last night I saw a story about a town that is dealing with an explosion of illegals. They have multiple families living in small aprtments. The town has to educate all their kids, even though they're illegal, This year and last year reported cases of diseases like TB are up 200% because they pick through dumpsters and take home old mattresses and other junk. Why can't people see that illegals have to go?

I take it all the ones who say send them home have plenty of food stored up and gardens that will provide enough produce for your families. Or are you planning to take over thier jobs? The apples in Washington are going to rot this year on the trees because there is noone to pick them. Or does everyone think that the farmers can pick all the crops by themselves? Shortage and high prices for gas is nothing compared to what is to come. Everyone is complaining about paying 4 dollars a gal. for gas wait until you are paying 4 dollars a pound for tomatoes or 3 for a head of lettuce. Forget eating strawberries unless you are rich. Forget about organic crops too. And forget about crops being US grown. All the produce will soon be imported and farms will be the thing of the past. You know the old saying "that you shouldnt bite the hand that feeds you"? Well we bit and chewed the hands that fed us and sent them home and continue to send them home. I rather doubt that the Jones' are going to be out there picking in the hot sun 10 hours a day 6 days a week so you can just pop over to the market for fresh fruit and veggies. I cant wait until this time next year when everyone is going to be eatting thier words instead of fresh fruit.

Coming into the US legally will not preclude these people from living w/ extended family in a tiny apt.

I think keeping terrorists out of hte USA is a far better argument FOR stopping illegal immigration than "we have to educate their kids."

I call this influx of illegal immigrants "Silent Terrorism."
I heard that the Chinese are coming over here and China won't take them back implying we are stuck with them. Why they just don't turn the boat around is amazing and hard to figure out!
I wonder how we would be accepted if all Americans got up and went to other countries!!!!

You answered your own question. When we allow companies to hire illegal immigrants the immigrants feel like they have to hide and often don't send their kids to school or get proper health care. Because they are hiding from authorities they will put up with horrendous living conditions and are treated no better than slaves. I don't know the answer to the problem but it is inhuman to allow things to continue as they are.

We have rats to do that, it isn't fair to the people who come here legally and have to go through all the work you have to do to become a citizen. Why shouldn't they have to also?
