I don't feel so bad for the homes, as for the people who had lived in them.

Of course I felt bad about this.....very bad and sorry for these folks who lost their homes. I live in So Fla so I can understand the grief a hurricane like this can cause. The trauma, fear and sadness of losing ones home is devastating. It does not matter if you are rich or poor, and although it is only a material thing, it is YOUR home! You have to be thankful for being alive but some people all they have is their homes. I only hope they all have found a new place they can call home and although it is very difficult to get back on track after something like this, life goes on. I pray each day for them, I can't forget Katrina...and I am reminded even more so each time we have to track a new storm.

♥ I feel bad for all the people and their families that it happened too. My cousin lived down there when it happened and it destroyed his and his fiancee's house and cars...everything... he told us about how crazy it was but thank God they both got out of there and are home with us now. It's just a terrible tragedy! I pray for all those people! ♥

Somewhat, but if you build 15 feet below sea level, you are likely to have problem at some point. Ever heard of gravity? Makes stuff like water flow downhill?

I feel sad for the people that lost the homes. I hope to go on a mission trip with my church soon and help to rebuild homes there.

Feel bad for the homes? No, nor the occupants. If they were stupid enough to build below sea level, they deserve what happened.

Well come on, we should all be upset for these people. It must be devastating to lose everything you own, the things you can't replace like photos.

For some i do and for most i do not. They knew when they bought property or chose to rent there that it is a city that is 20+ feet below sea level. Duh, hello????? what the hell did you think would happen. A flood was inevitable.
