im using win xp , how do i open my safe mode when i boot my pc?

As soon as you turn your computer on (before you get the WinXP screen), hit F8 (function 8 key) repeatedly. It will bring up the screen to load safe mode.

Repeatedly press the F8 key after the bios screen loads (the black screen with white writing), but before windows loads. You'll know if you manage it, because the display will run at 800 x 600 pixels, and it'll be slow. If it doesn't work press Restart and try again.
