I've read all the six, a few times actually, (I'm 22)it's great story, one of the best I've read, I don't see why they're seen as only for kids, only because the main characters are 11 years old at the beginning of the story, but all the rest, is fantasy, wars, etc, suitable for children but not childish in the least,(LOTR is fantasy and its not for children) it's amazingly well written ( let's hope that book 7 ends right) well I just fell in love with the characters, specially the Weasleys form the first book.
The films, however... The first two were OK but the rest were awful, the directors didn't love the story and just tried to make a silly big Hollywood movie about some teenage wizards, the actors did a great job, but sadly, the directors weren't really interested on the story, just their film, kept missing scenes of the book and adding their own new silly scenes

Yeah, I've read all six, The films compared to the books are s**t, mainly due to the time restrictions. Apparently the 1st one was filmed exactly to the book and was well over 4 hours long. Think they should release uncut version on DVD, then we can see everything (Rik Mayall as Peeves etc). Saying that though God help us if they've done the same with the other books! Don't think last film made any sense compared to book. " characters who die I bet will be Mr Weasley, and possibly Hagrid. Harry may die, though he'll take Voldemort with him, don't forget they have the same kind of wands the only 2 in existence... hmmm, maybe I need to get out more lol

I have seen all the movies so far and only read one book. And of course the books have more then movies because can you imagine if they put everything into the movies that the books have? It would be like 4 or 5 hrs. long plus the film company would spend 2x or 3x the amount of money they spend now making them get real people that is way people like tv compared to the book because they get pretty much the whole story in less time it takes to read the novel. cheers

I have read most of them and I really enjoyed them. I have recently read Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix and it was a good book. It was very exciting and an important character has something happen to them.
The films are fantastic and really well made espcially the special effects.

I've cheated and listened to all the books so far on Audio books (downloaded), and it really helps pass the time driving to work. Harry Potter is a great story so far, currently awaiting the final book.
She's saying at least 2 main characters will die in the final book. I don't think Harry will die, but there are rumors she will kill him off to stop anyone else writing books in the future using her characters.

The books are much better than the films. I watched the 1st two films before reading the books....but with the the last two films...I read the books 1st..and I was kind of disappointed as I had already visualised it...and how wrong was I!!
I hope Harry lives forever...but no one is immortal!

Harry Potter is more for young adults than kids.
I have all 6 and have read them several times.
I also have all four movies, and I agree they are not as good as the books, but is kind of interesteing to see the book acted out

I've read all six books and seen all four movies. I think there's a good possibility that Harry might die, I've heard rumors that if he dies then no other author can write a sequel to the last book.
