Chien-Ming Wang is a great player who's been pitching incredibly in the last month, but I don't think he's the best pitcher in baseball today. Justin Verlander, Francisco Liriano, Zambrano and Webb are better. But, I do think that Wang has great potential. With the way he's pitching at his age, he's probably going to get the Cy Young award in the next 3 years(if he keeps pitching the way he has been for the last month).

So you are basing this "FACT" on the last month of baseball when in your statement you say he's the best pitcher in baseball today.... wake up big guy. Lets see him pitch over a year, a couple years, and see if he's even around. Look for Johan or Fransico, Weaver, Webb to be pretty much dominant compared to your Wang doodle.

Since when does a hot month make you the "best pitcher in baseball today"? So if he has a 5+ ERA next month, will you concede that he's the worst pitcher in baseball? Didn't think so.
Threads like this are just stupid - It's one thing to argue that he's been great this past month, but quite another to extrapolate that he's the best in the game.
I think you need to temper the enthusiasm a little.

Wang is doing pretty good today....
There are pitchers better than him...
At least, you know is doing better than Randy Johnson for a past couple weeks...
He will be the best if he can match up what other great pitchers do.
One thing, I must point out. If you are a MLB batter, you can hardly hit a homerun from Wang.
He is certainly doing well on that department!

But one month of good work does not make a season...
Better than Wang currently:
Santana
Liriano
Verlander
Lackey
Papelbon
Nathan
Mussina
Halladay
and others I'm too lazy to name.
To go by the logic you used:
Juan Rivera is the best hitter in Baseball Today (see sounds dumb doesn't it).

Wrong...and I love it when people try to justify they're idiotic claims with narrow criteria...
"Chien-Ming Wang is the best pitcher in the last 17 days in the AL East who wears blue socks and has "Ming" in his name"
He's pitching well...great...he's nowhere close to the best pitcher in baseball today...

That is NOT a fact. The real truth is Justin Verlander has gone 8-0 is his last 10 starts, and was MLB's first 14 game winner.
Chin-My **** is nothing compared to The Tigers.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!
woo sry, wang is not the best pitcher in the game.LOL HIS LAST NAME IS WANG!!!thats cuz he's sucks so bad, he sucks wang. his last five wins have cme against the d-rays twice, the mariners, and the jays twice. the d-rays suck, and the mariners suck evn more. the jays r his only good accomplishment in those games. and thru the first jays game he gave up 10 hits and 4 runs thru 6 innings. there r so many ptchers that r better than him. liriano,santana,zambrano,glavine,webb,contreras,verlander,holli-day,mussina, and schilling TO NAME A FEW.
