You didn't specify what type of plant, but Watermelon will grow well, as will Palms, Morning glories, Bleeding heart vine, Wisteria, Jasmine, Amaryllis, Canna lilies Ajuga, and Honey suckle vine, to name a few. I lived in Florida and had all of these and more in my gardens around the house.

cannas are big and bold and beautiful!and grow in any soil!they are fool proof! they come in a variety of colors as well as leaf colors! just about any veggie plant loves sandy soil,also!

Any cactus or succulent if you live in a warm climate! If you live near the beach, pines, sago palms, even crepe myrtle is very tolerant. It depends on where you live. Ask your local nursery. They'll be glad to help!

Anything from the cacti family. But don't think they're all full of barbs and ugly, there are actually some really gorgeous cacti.
