Pls Can someone explain why Dave Chappelle walked out on his show?

Mr. Chappelle has visited several television and radio programs to explain what and why he left his show. In a nutshell, he admitted to 1) increased paranoia about his fame and fortune and not really being prepared for all that it would entail 2) increased hangers-on demands for positions, money, etc. The main reason he gave was because even though he was offered millions of dollars- he decided he wanted complete control of the product (his), where it would be distributed, etc. They would not allow him that kind of control. I know a lot of people were upset with him and it looked as though this black man lost his mind - but I can agree with him. Sometimes you can't afford to sell your soul to the devil. People can come to you with fantastic monetary deals and you think that this money is IT! But in the longrun- someone else really pulls the strings. He is just one who knows what he wants and was not going to allow anyone to dangle dollars in his face and then let his reputation for quality and creativity in his work go by the wayside. He wanted monies to travel into areas where other people could be helped, and he would have control over the video distribution (that's where people make their money) and they were not allowing it. I honestly don't blame him at all - he had money - so he was happy with what he had -Sometimes we get really greedy and want more. I am glad he had enough vision to say no. It didn't hurt him - he still has talent - he still has opportunity to do what he needs and wants to do to advance his career. Go on line - I am sure there are other detailed commentaries about this issue.

I haven't either nor do I care. he has quite a few mental problems and should deal with those first.
