What happens if you are at a resort like the Bahamas and a Hurricane is going to hit? Do they evacuate? Is it difficlt to get flights out during a situation like that? Does the resort allow you to reschedule for another time?

it is a good idea to spend an extra $50 on your vacation and by travel insurance. That will cover non refundable expenses and emergancy medical issues while overseas.

If you are at a resort and a hurricane appears to be likely to hit the island, they have plans in place for that (backup generators and safe areas of the resort). If you have not yet arrived then you can try to reschedule, but probably not for a peak time or the winter season when rates are higher. If your flight is cancelled because of severe weather like a hurricane they generally have a window of time during which you can re-use your ticket.

The best option is to find out if they have scheduled a hurricane to occur when you make your original reservations. If they don't, go ahead and make your reservations but tell them that you don't want them to schedule a hurricane to occur at the same time you are there.

no flights will be going out. and more than likely you will know not to make reservation when a hurrican is there. and god gave you a brain use it. you evacuate same your family or whoyour with and forget all about belongs things can be replaced prople can not.
