According to the New York Post and other national publications, why is there a survey claiming that 1 in 3 Americans believe that U.S. federal officials assisted in the 9/11 terrorist attacks? It disturbs me to hear this!!! Outrageous!

it is simply amazing that people believe that. my question is always if the president did do it then why has he not done it again? since his approval rating shot through the roof why did he not continue attacking our country when his poll numbers fell. one thing recently heard that they consider the terrorist the most computer savvy enemy ever faced. so my belief is that the terrorist know that the can never win a conventionally war with us that they have started a propaganda war, they know if they can divide the USA on the war on terror that the USA will with draw the troops out of countries. wonder how many operatives are on this web site. if you read some answer that Americans are the terrorist makes me wonder who is truly behind the answers.

If the government has nothing to hide then they should come forward with whatever evidence is still left and let an independent scientific committee -not a bunch of politicians- do the investigation. They should release all videos from the pentagon and stop using the excuse of national secutity to interfere on a real investigation. That would really shut up those conspiracy theories, why don't they do that? Really, if you can't accept laws of physics then there is really no way of getting to some of these people that still believe in a pancake theory.

Food for thought... it would be astounding for our OWN government to place us in harms way, right? But if you think about it, there have been plenty other countries who have done the smae thing throughout history....placed their constituency in danger so the government could feel needed or wanted...

Look at Cuba

Recall Nazi Germany

Ponder the former USSR---hell even listening to the Beatles were considered terms enough for being murdered by the hands of the government...

What needs to be understood are the many things that have gone on in this country before and after 9/11, what is our current pres. financial status? What about the vice pres.? They were rich corporate officers with money in oil and not very well liked by the public. What was the ONE thing that increased in exponential proportions the moment he got into the White House? OIL The price of gasoline has increased so badly, that a person working a job at $5.15 an hour in a 40 hour work week, if they had a bad enough time already with the insurance and the car payment?? Going to and from work, let alone ANYWHERE is a test of "How much did I make this week again?" When the C-I-C leaves the White House, his monetary standing will be beyond RICH... not only can he go back to his former occupation... with PLENTY of money for himself and his friends, but ALSO he will have the presidential pention--

I dont think anyone has thought about that

What is a government that doesnt feel NEEDED? How can you govern a people who doesnt NEED you? Create a crisis that promotes patriotism, removes the focus on important matters of OUR country, and makes the ruling government be our Obi-Wan Kenobi... our "only hope"..

These factors in mind, combined with the fact that everyone was willing to hang the one president for smoking marijuana in the past, and not hanging THIS ONE for being a "Coke-head" in that SAME past (and his plethera of DUIs) should let SOMEONE out there know something is terribly wrong with this place

V for Vendetta anyone?

It is interesting to watch the progression of the conspiracies:

First, it was Bush's incompetence that allowed 9/11. The American people didn't buy it.

So, the conspiracists moved to phase 2 that Bush knew about 9/11 but didn't prevent it. The American people didn't buy it.

Welcome to phase 3, it was totally an inside job. The anti-Bush conspiracists have roped in 1/3 of us but that still leaves 2/3 not buying it.

Will they come up with a phase 4? Did George Bush clone himself 19 times and fly the planes into the WTC and Pentagon? Did Karl Rove plant suitcase bombs in the planned attack sites to complete the job? Why were our fighter jets just sitting on the ground and not expecting an UNEXPECTED attack from our own domestic airline?

Maybe someday, someone will come up with a phase that confirms the original conspiracy. Nineteen Muslim men boarded planes intending to wipe out the WTC (bin Laden's perceived symbol of America), the Pentagon, and probably the Capitol building or White House on the anniversary of the defeat of the last major Muslim effort to militarily conquer the west.

If you listen to modern polls, you are buying into liberal bias. the people these pollers ask are rarely from all over the U.S. Much like John Kerry was supposed to beat Bush by a landslide..according to many polls at the time. If you really believe Bush was behind 9/11, then you live a sad, terrible existence, and I have no respect for you at all. Americans died trying to save others' lives and the fact that you question whether or not we did this to ourselves disgraces those that did die. Look in the mirror and get your heads on straight instead of yelling out conspiracy theory

Because many Americans believe in conspiracy theories just for the sake of it.

Here's the thing, though: our government can't find thousands of people who have overstayed their visas here in the US. Heck, they don't even know who's a registered voter or not half the time. What are the odds that this same group of incompetents could possibly have staged, and kept quiet, the single worst terrorism attack in the history of the world?

No i do not, it is only a gaggle of hogwash that loons with too a lot time on their palms got here up with. All data exhibits that terrorists orchestrated the attack, who does the different individual imagine did it, santa claus. extremely, it basically would not make experience. As for the interior interest, they're purely 1/2 properly, diverse the terrorists were already the following contained in the U.S. before the attacked and already planned the tragedy the following and outdoors. the reason people are "9/11 Truthers" with the intention to talk, are basically attempting to get a pretend experience of pride that makes them sense like they have "hidden information" and something important to expose. extremely, those people can connect the the ranks of Charlie Sheen and Rosie O'Donnell and all the different washed up superstar assholes that imagine they "comprehend" whats wonderful for the so pronounced as "commen guy", extremely its basically laughable.

Dick Cheney ordered a stand-down of air defenses for the Pentagon on 9/11(thank you Norman Mineta for telling the world)..if that isn't proof of at least inside knowledge by parts of our government, I don't know what is.

Because people are easily manipulated in believing lies. Not that maybe someday it will not be proven, but reason does not show that it was anything more or less than the government has stated, and everything that is said by those that wish you to believe it was our own governement, wish you not to be reasonable, jsut to hate Bush and his Adminstration

i think 9-11 was planned by the president. He knew what was going to happen. That was why he was not at the White house that day. Also about flight 77
