Why would republicans want peace?

Think about it , more war means more votes for republicans since the average American trust a republican to handle a wartime America.
PS Don't give me crap about morals and values, there is no such thing as morals and values in politics,whether your a democrat or republican your top priority is to get votes for you and your party, everything else is a second priority.

9/11?if al gore was in power that day, he would be taking just as much credit as much , in protecting our country.

I am not American , But USA is not for America only , they are interfering every where .the administration is acting according to their point of view , not according to ppl understanding.I have seen many demonstration against war in many cities through TV and not essentially for war only, may be for social or educational differences , But Administration does not listen to any other voice . IN the mean while we are happy that Republicans and Mr. Bush win both elections by very few extra votes. Popularity of Bush is getting down. Imagine only Republican Admins. Opposed cease fire in Le ban. Only this Admin Judge opposed the world high court to stop discrimination wall in Palestine among 15 world Judges . Pls call this Admin any thing u like but not piece loving

The one thing Bush's people understood is this, the majority of this country is still too stupid and afraid to vote out a war-time president...so, even if it's a fake, stupid war, if there is one, they're all set...it was the only chance he had of not making a fool of himself...his performance before 9/11 and since Afghanistan has been AWFUL...

So, are you saying that Democrats would do nothing? Do you think that after 911, Democrats would have not responded? Do you think that they would have said, "Oh, thank you. We wanted to build new buildings anyway?" There have been Democrats that have led us into war or military incursions (look FDR and even JFK). It is easy to BLAME one political party for our faults as a nation, but it doesn't address the issue or the problem. Blaming one side does cause division and hard feelings.
