no one wants to beleive they existe but i cant figure why we would be the only life here in this huge galaxy. anyone see that movie (or read the book) hitchhikers guide to the galaxy? what if we are only here to gather as much information as we can for some other species? like with the mice in the movie, their quest qas to find the answer to the Ultimate question.. that makes ALOT of sence if one thinks about it. ok so maybe im just rambling and everyone thinks im crazy (my sister said so) but its a thought.

Local opinion here is southwestern Virginia runs from non-belief (usually from the majority Christian population) to not caring (mostly from the younger segment of the population. About 15-20 years ago, there was a widespread UFO viewing episode near the town of Wytheville (about 25 miles from where I live). Many people on several different nights saw different formations of lights traversing the sky in silence. A local radio personality in Wytheville, Danny Gordon, corroborated some of the sightings personally. Then, all of the sudden, silence on the subject. Looks like someone made the point good about keeping it quiet.

Personally, I believe in UFOs as extra-planetary craft. My parents and I saw a group of 3 in the late 50s in northeastern Ohio. Silvery, round shaped, viewed in the daytime while we were in a car. Silent as they crossed (no way of judging altitude) over in front of us. I was only 5 at the time, but remember as it made a great impression on me. We were used to seeing jet aircraft as we were in path of training flights from Wright-Patterson Air Force base, also in Ohio, and could categorically say these were not jets. Round-shaped, silent (jets made the sonic booms that rattled the house), no contrails.

I saw a UFO once.

After looking at it for a couple of minutes, I determined that it was a NOTAR helicopter with an uncharacteristic reflective paint job.

Ever notice...
with the advent of the video camera
how UFO sightings and reports have nearly vanished.

No coincidence...

I'm sure that somewhere there has to be other forms of life. There are places in outerspace that are still to be dicovered. I really doubt God would have created so much & only put life on one tiny planet.

I think UFO's are just the government testing secret weapons and sometimes people see them. That's all.

Just because I've never seen one, I wouldn't say they don't exist.
