Complete and utter wanton disregard.

I hope your question causes some to rethink what they type out on these pages. I have seen some very lame responses that appeared to have no thought given to them. Horrid spelling and atrocious grammar. A sad reflection on how little intelligence it now takes to operate a PC.
I draw from personal experience and research questions on the net with Wikipedia.com and Google, and also have a CD of the World Book in the bottom tray of my desktop.
I make a sincere effort to answer intelligently and honestly. You never know when someone out there might actually benefit from an answer and I would hate to pass up the chance to offer something valuable.
I'm not here for the points, I like to learn and to share what I have learned.
I'm learning there are some very illiterate people posting at Yahoo. Sad!
Or they just don't care enough to take the time to type correctly.
OR THEY ARE TOO LAZY TO USE SPELL CHECK. SHEEEESH!

Actually, you're wrong. I answer only questions I think I'm qualified to answer, as in, topics I know something about, where I feel my answer would be helpful and would offer good information. To answer your question, I didn't have to be a medical expert or a media expert or someone who has a lot of thoughts on philosophy or music; I just had to be an answerer of questions. So, your question is the sort where anyone who answers questions and knows how carefully they select them could give a good opinion. It fit right in to my qualifications for answering, as I am able to answer it.

Sometimes I pick it accidentally, but mostly I pick carefully the questions that I'm know to give at least a good answer. So your wrong by saying "Obviously not all that carefully since you're looking at this one.", were looking at your question because it's about us, it needs our opinion and it's a good one.

On the contrary, I generally search for easy to answer ones and this fit the bill so very carefully

Depends on my mood. How carefully do you select the questions you ask?

But I am looking. I try to avoid those that are so over the top as to be a trick to see if I will answer. Much like a test to see if i should be on the "Jerry Springer" show.

Very, I like to give helpful advice that I'm knowledgeable about. If I want mindless chitter chatter and sarcastic comments I can go to the clubs (bars) and do that with my friends.

I read a lot of questions, but only answer the ones that are perceptive and insightful or those that involve really bad puns.
