America and Great Britain are currently involved in wars in Afghanistan and Iraq because New York was attacked by a terrorist organisation. Neither the Afghan nor the Iraqi governments have ever attacked America or Britain - these countries have been invaded - so surely that gives them the right to protect their borders and ensure that America and Britain do not attack them again. The only problem with that is that these countries are not nearly strong enough to defend themselves against their attackers.
