I need to know how to find out my internal ip address, not my normal one. I'm opperating off of a small, local area network.

If you are on Windows (which I assume you are), just go to the Start menu, click "Run", and in the box that pops up type "cmd" and press enter.

On the command box that pops up, type "ipconfig /all" and press enter. In the results that are returned, your internal IP address will be listed.

ON Windows
start -> run type cmd
press return
type ipconfig /all
press return
That will show you all the networking info you need.

On Linux type /sbin/ifconfig and press return and there ya go.
(some version of linux you do not need the /sbin but that is where it resides)

got to the command prompt (start then run then CMD for xp or 2000)
the type ipconfig /all
it will give you that IP and all the other data that you may need

All without quotes, of course

for windows 7. start> search program , their type cmd and press enter. then
type ipconfig /all
