wow it took a while & quite a few times of re-reading your question to understand what you are saying. you may want to try spell check when you ask questions hunny. anyways, there are a few types of stinging insects so it could be any one...bee, wasp, bumblebee....etc. you can try an online encyclopedia for pictures to figure out what it is that stung you. as for you saying it didn't let go, it probably just got stuck & wasn't able to fly away.

All bees leave their stingers in their victims - stinging actually kills the bee (because it rips the stinger off of their backside).
It sounds to me like your bee didn't have enough energy to pull away, and is going to die on your arm or wherever.
