Why are there so many people focused on putting blacks down?

I have noticed on here that alot of people ask questions about blacks that are so ignorant!!!
It seems that people stereotype us to be dangerous,lazy,and ignorant and thats not true at all

And i'm not saying everybody does it
so do not get an attitude with me

I date all kinds of races. It doesn't matter to me, but recently I was dating this black man who I thought was my match. It turns out he had a girl friend and was seeing me on the side. Yeah I am mad but I don't put that on his color of skin only on his untrust worthy actions.

You are on an anonymous site where people can say and do whatever they want. Most people do this to get a reaction out of you. It is ignorant of you to assume that everybody is like this just because you saw it on Yahoo Answers.

As far as stereotyping blacks to be dangerous, lazy, and ignorant I'd say that blacks are doing this to themselves. Others are just reacting to what they see. Have you ever listened to rap music or seen one of the videos. It's no wonder people are concerned. If the black community that wasn't a part of this culture publicly ostracized those who are it would go a long way in shattering those stereotypes. The problem is that too many black people may not like it but will defend it just because there is criticism about another black person. The group mentality can be more harmful that helpful.

Sorry if this isn't the answer that you wanted to hear like "people are mean", "all white people are racists", etc. but it is the truth.

BTW, I would like to point out that Yahoo and Yahoo Answers are very liberal and attract a mostly younger, liberal crowd. So much for tolerance huh?

EDIT: For those who say that the media portrays black people poorly: these are not white actors in black face. These are black actors portraying themselves in a poor way. If the actors just said "enough, we're not going to do this anymore" this would change. Money is the only thing that drives Hollywood.

Because some peoples minds havent developed enough to notice that the color of ones skin is only a color of ones skin. They are stuck in 2 nd gear and havent figured out how to shift into 3rd. And since they are so preoccupied with color they dont notice that there is good and bad in every race on this planet. Every race of every color has robbers and killers and child molesters and lazy people and addicts and drug dealers and bad parents and so on and so on and so on just like there are teachers and doctors and bankers and volunteers and resue workers and policemen etc etc etc in every race. I would love to see a persons skin all by its self preform surgery , it takes whats inside the skin to preform any type of task. Some people fear what they dont understand and some just talk sh it because thats how they were raised. Those whos brain is working properly look at the person and thier actions and not at the color. We are all made the same way and come out the same way some by c section and some normal , we all piss and shi t in our diapers and we all grow up and we all die. Life and death doesnt notice color. Hopefully those who are stuck in 2nd gear finally learn how to shift into 3rd. and maybe this world can start figuring out how to fix all the things that are really important instead of what color someone is. I dont believe in god but if there is one I hope in the next life everyone who trips on color comes back as that color.

Its seems like the racism issues will never be over, Governments all over the world try to make it right with Affirmative Action, but then they reduce the salary when it comes to black people. Its only a small population that is still sitting around Nazi ideas, forget about them and keep your head high.

Honey your right "alot" of people feel as if black people are lazy, ignorant, criminals etc. but that is definetly not true. I don't know why they feel this way. There are lazy people from all races not just blacks.This is the 21st century and people are still acting this way. But you know what I wipe my a$$ wit what people say. What's even more ignorant are the questions about race period, people putting blacks down and people putting whites down. White people getting upset because of the ignorant questions against them, and then sometimes some of them say hateful stuff, and black people getting upset because of the ignorant questions against them, and some of them say hateful things against white people.
All this racism and hate is overrated, but I guess people still don't know how to get along.

People will be People. In general people/humans are ignorant. All colors, races and creeds. Put money out and you will find greed. If you have something someone else doesnt you will find jealosy. If you have land the other wants you'll find war. Color?! No its not color, its us all as humans. Each group enslaves the other group. And between and in each group there are personal tensions, divorce, children that hate their parents, and parents that want their children out. Then we see ourselves in the mirror, and we struggle day in and day out with ourselves trying to better ourselves. If we put things in perspective, color is nothing! Humans, now humans wanna pull each other down. It sounds real negative, I know, but its not meant to be. Actually by understanding the negatives one can find happyness and the good things in people.

The media's depiction of blacks doesn't help either. As well as the videos and music that's played on a daily basis. It's all in how the story is written!

look at it like this girl,if they have that much time to hate another race and raise all kinds of stupid questions etc,then they have to much time in theyre hands and most likely are the lazy,ignorant people,dont let that junk bother you,people say all white people are uptight rich jerks,and we are not,but again they are the ignorant fools
