The poor quality of health care and welfare for the poor means that you have one of the worst rates of infant mortality in the industrialised world.

The figures below are from your own government:

Oh and btw, if you think the 4/1000 difference between top and bottom is insignificant, if you add 4 to the US figures you get to countries like Bosnia-H (recently out of civil war)

The poor don't seek out health care, Jesi?-what bullc**p. Even the stupidest and least educated here can find their way to a doctor.

What is your point? That you don't like the US? That is because you are unabashedly jealous.

In your last question you use faulty, biased sources to back up your bigotry. This time you just misinterpret the data because of your ignorance. The child mortality rate in the US is affected by the poor and impoverished who choose not to seek out medical care. Although the socialist states of Europe tout their socialized medicine and mediocre healthcare professionals (all the good ones come here to earn what they ar worth), they somehow don't know that every pregnant woman can get charity care at almost any hospital and will not be turned down. The US government and state governments have many programs to combat the mortality rate.

But the poor, uneducated and recent immigrant groups tend not to avail themselves of this care and do not take care of themselves. That and the high rate of teenage prenancies that contributute to this rate are the problem.

The US can take care of its own, and due to the selfish, uncaring attitude of Europe, most of the world it seems.

Try to get over your jealousy and hatred.

Not only that, but we throw more of our people per capita in jail than any other country. No doubt about it, when it comes to big-government police states, our conservatives are even better than they claim our liberals.

Problem is, you can't raise issues with either ideology without being branded a second class citizen at best, a traitor at worst.
Watch me get picked apart right here on this BBS, and labelled everything seen as contemptible from both sides.

Some days we just can't win.

What really scares me is that the extreme Christian right will gain serious power here. Then, compared to the resulting totalitarian theocracy, what's happening here now will look like one of your tea parties.

Survival of the fittest. If you can't get your butt to the free clinic for free health care, then you don't deserve it. Yes, there are people too lazy or uneducated to go to the doctor. Are the doctors suppose to go door to door in the "poor" neighborhoods and make sure everyone is okay? Take them a welfare check and a doctor once a month. Are we suppose to provide them with more than food and health care? We pay for electricity and housing. Maybe they want a brand new car too. Give me a break. Judge me and think I am harsh, I DON'T CARE!!

Hey genius, what do you think about the two 6 year olds who molested two 5 year olds in England? First, what kind of country can raise such sick bastards and where the hell were the teachers while this is going on? THis is why I am beginning to really dislike the English. They are so busy with their tea and criticisms that they can't even began to fathom the problems in their own society. Why don't you work to make your country less of a joke instead of wasting so much time trashing mine?

again, I state here, we have always been in the top 2 of that chart.....percentage wise? No, but we have given more money overall to the world, and if the poor countries don't give....no one would down on them...and their people would be better off....complain about those countries, not the ones that give most to those that need it

Limey,
we care about you... our allies... and strategic partners in the world. If we pulled back our donations to help ourselves then the world would whine about that too.
