I always have songs stuck in my head. I hear music all the time in my head - when I write songs -I don't just hear the piano part - I hear all the instruments and production. I think there is something wrong with me (smile). I have too many songs in my head to list here - but suffice it to say - they are all 'old school'. (Bobby Womack. "Daylight's", Al Green, Stylystics, Spinners, War, Michael Franks, "Popcycle Toes", Dobbie Brothers, "Real Love," Traffic's "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys", Herbie Hancock's "I Thought It Was You", Marvin Gaye/Tammy Terrell's "Your Precious Love" - Bill Withers, "Grandma's Hands"....need I say more.....

Don't Go Breaking My Heart - Elton John and Kiki Dee. It was featured on the Ellen Degeneres show the other day when they were playing 'humbug'. It was a rerun and she ha Vince Vaughn on as guest and they had to hum the song and the audience had to guess what song it was. It was hilarious. Love her show.

I woke up at 3:15 am for no reason in particular, with Regina Spektor's "Somedays" running through my brain. Slept another couple hours, and awoke with Rufus Wainwright's "Instant Pleasure" in there. I've been singing it all morning. Could be worse; I woke up yesterday with Tommy Tutone's "867-5309" (or whatever those goddamn numbers are).

Nope....listening to the radio so of course since the songs keep changing nothing is stuck. When I turn it off that's where the problem will lie.

Thank goodness, I thought I was scarred for life with "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5. So I'm recovering nicely.
