Put up those sticky fly tapes.

Make a bug catchin' bottle:
Cut top off of a plastic bottle about 3" down from the neck.

In the bottom of the bottle place aprox. 1/4 Cup strawberry jelly and 1/2 Cup water mixed. (Buy the cheapest jelly, grape is ok, but strawberry works best.)

Invert the top (with screw cap off) and staple or tape to bottom.

Bugs are stupid, they get in for the sweet goodies, but can't get out again.

I don't think you can. Apart from using door nets and keeping all windows closed, they are going to get in. Recently, I had bird fall into my chimney, behind my closed fireplace and when it died, the bluebottles bred on it in their hundreds. They somehow got into my lounge through a vented point and I had hundreds of them in the room. Flyspray used intensively in the room eventually killed them all but I also used those Vapona Sunflower stickers on the patio doors that also worked well. Apart from that, I tried to buy some traditional flypapers ( you know the sticky ones ) but I couldn't find any. Oh, the other thing I have in my kitchen in the summer is one of those electrocutors hanging up ..... cheap to buy and run and they do stand on 24 hour guard ... great at night of course when the lights are off. But to be honest' for a quick kill and deterrent, flyspray is the best answer. At least it was for me!

Well you could keep the windows closed, or use fly screens (you can buy stick on fly screens from 'Betterware' or other household catalogues), but I think however hard you try some are going to get in. We got a cat last year and she makes a jolly good, self-propelled fly swat, and she eats them once she's caught them (EUEUCH!!!) but we do have to keep the window ledges clear of stuff (we realised after she broke a plant and pot and a couple of ornaments).

You can try using scent but it has to be strong to work, planting indian bean tree near the back door is supposed to help but it grows into a full size tree. Eucalyptus oil deters them but then you smell of olbas oil.
I reckon get an insectocuter and zap 'em once they're in.

You can use hairspray or those sticky things that you hang from the ceiling! Hairspray works best!! Make certain that you don't use spray conditioner by mistake.....this just makes them more lively!
A friend has just told me that she has an electric fly swatter....zap!

Get some fly stips and keep your garbage cans covered, as they breed in them, and have your neighbors keep thiers covered too...

Any type of moisture or garbage and the flies have a breeding ground...

I wish you well..
