If you are setting up for the free yahoo email can't do unless you use ypops a small program http://www.ypopsemail.com/ Be sure you are using old version of yahoo email. The site has instructions for the setup. If using another email go to your help section of the email on line Should have instructions.

What Internet Provider do you use? For example I use AT&T yahoo. For both the POP (incoming mail) and STMP(outgoing mail) I use the same server (mail.yahoo.com). If you have an internet based email such as hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc... select POP.

You need to get this setting from whoever you get your email through, but it is probably a POP3 server.

when setting up new email account in Outlook Express (or any other email prog)you have to put in settings for incoming and outgoing mail...typically this setting is :..for example:mail.senet.com.au for both ingoing and outgoing mail settings ...if you go to the website of your internet provider they usually have page on the settings you need to type in to send/receive emails...think this is what you were meaning
