If the spider is black, it doesn't have a "bright red body" -- if the spider does have a bright red body, then it is a red spider, not a black spider.
But if you mean a black spider that is known for having a bright red MARKING on its black body, then you are probably talking about the famous Black Widow Spider, which is well known for having a bright red hour-glass shaped spot in the middle of its belly.
Contrary to popular legend, the black widow spider is not nearly as poisonous as usually thought. Under some circumstances its bite can be fatal, mostly for small children or very frail seniors. A black widow bite should always be taken seriously and should always result in immediate medical treatment.
