maybe congress can get a straight answer from him , but i doubt it .
The man has an advanced degree in double speak and inuendo , follwed by a Phd in evasive answering .
OVER the years he has never answered a question put to him .
A Rumsfeld answer to your queation =
IF the congress is still around and they have provided all the proper subpeonas and i am called before congress and asked a question ,IF i am permitted by law to answer it and am able to remember the substinative facts to provide them an answer they will still need to be more specific about what they want me to answer.
I can not give away information that may today or some time in the future be used to further the enemies understanding of how we intend to deal with the problems we face .

This isn't about the legality of the Iraq invasion - which Hillary herself endorsed when Bush went to Congress to support use of force - you twit!
It's about the claim of SOME military analysts that the troop deployments and sustained presence in Iraq are to the point of breaking the strength of the US military.
And, oh typical liberal ignorant one, Rumsfield, like all his SoD predecessors, goes before Congress for briefings and testimony. He's never hidden from them.

He is a typical repuglican politician, he will talk much, say little and implicate nobody. With the repuke's still a majority in both houses he will get away with it. Come November things will change and when they do I hope that the leadership in the executive branch will be held accountable for all of their bad decisions for the last 6 years.

Last I heard, it will be in a classified session with congressional leaders. This means that any opponents who take public issue with what he says will be branded traitors.
People like him on both sides of the conservative-liberal debate don't get where they are by being nice guys. The current administration is especially good at labelling its opponents as traitors (they soften it a little by saying "aiding terrorism", but you get the idea).
I wouldn't cross my fingers. They learned a lot from Watergate. If they can weasle out of Iran-Contra but get their opponent on adultery, they can get out of almost anything.
In fact, you can figure that they can get out of anything bigger than blow jobs, adultery, illegitimate children, illegal drug possession, etc, etc. Their opponents can't, which is why we have the power base we now have.

Sure I think he will. In addition, I think some of the Democrats, ie. Kennedy, Kerry, Clinton, Durbin, etc. will show their collective backsides again. This is like kindergarten show and tell for them.
