As long as your running protection software and not going to dangerious sites.
I too do this all day while doing other things on my computer and never have any problems.

Heres the FREE safety software I use.

I use all of the following Free software with Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer with MSN toolbar and the pop-up blocker turned on and have never had a single problem with my computer sense Microsoft came out with SP2. (knock on wood.) (And be sure to keep Windows and the following software Updated)

The best Anti-virus is: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. (www.grisoft.com)

The Best Spyware defense is: SpyBot Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html)<--English version

AND: AdAware SE (www.lavasoft.com)
AND Spyware Blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.info/kb/)
The best Firewall besides the one that comes with Windows is: Zone Alarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/co... or just (www.zonelabs.com) and select the FREE version.

These are all FREE and are all that are required. There is no reason to pay for this kind of software, except to give a donation to the writers if you can.
ALL the above programs are recommended and should be run on a regular basis. With some the free versions they must be run manually.

The best way to avoid getting any Malware (virus, Trojan's, spyware, etc) is to practice safe computing. Microsoft and many others have countless articles on the subject of safe computing. (something I think should be taught in schools)

Do you have virus protection? If not, go out and buy a copy of Trend Micro's PC-cillian Internet Security 2006 and then follow the instructions to install it. It's simple, easy, and will keep your computer quite safe from malware on the Internet.

Random internet use will eventually clog up your computer with spyware and/or viruses... It's very hard to avoid doing most things on the internet nowadays... Try to stay away from downloading "cute" programs, alot of them have embedded nastys that get installed without your consent... Stay away from peer to peer sharing networks... most of them have a ton of spyware in their setup programs and alot of the shared files contain viruses.... I have learned that the hard way.

Browse the internet, but don't be supprised to pick up unwanted guests from time to time. Regularly running programs like adaware and spybot will help keep your computer clean... they are safe and free off the interenet....

How can it be , ok , take my advice , delete every program that means nothing to you(games, moviesand music , etc.) and buy a new motherboard install it and it will be good as new but dont do anyother stuff on it. Why did they invent VHS and DVD, CD player, Mp3, TV, PSP, VCD to dance with?

Yes, but you need up to date protection. You need this as a minimum:

Antivirus
Adware protection
spyware protection

This software needs to be installed on your computer, updated weekly, and scanned weekly.

I suggest download google pack. It has these software packages included, and will regularly update them for you. It's also free.

As long as you use antivirus software and anti spyware software you should be ok. Just have your virus protectors scan the movies first before you look at them.
