dravid is the best batsman as regards technique and average, and as far as runs are concerned, he is surely going to make and break world records, for he is playing very well, and is going to continue for at least 4 years. pieterson has not played enough ODIs for evaluation as the best batsman, let him play about 5-6 years, then we can see.

Yes. There is Brian Lara who has scored 400 no in test & 500 in first class test matches. In odi's Sehwag can easily beat Pieterson.

In technically Dravid is the best player in the world test cricket...
Some times he clinch in ODI also...

in terms of batting. i think there are a few better at bowling than pietersen's occasional off spin.
i don't think pietersen can be singled out yet but i agree the dravid has taken the mantle of best batsman in the world from tendulkar.
How can u include Brian Lara in this when he keeps getting out in single figures.

Noone is better than Pietersen in terms of batting, Shane Warne is a spectacular bowler, and Andrew Flintoff has great attributes to both his batting and bowling. Pietersen is better than Dravid.

dravid is no doubt a living legend....but sachin lara ponting n inzi are all up there...dravid is best when it comes to technique......lara is best when it is about style..and sacin the great is a combination of both.inzi is the best att calmness,......ponting the best at run feast
