I have been wondering about this one... where does handsome originate from... does it mean that you look good so women will want to put their hands on you heh. Weird word.

HAHA Handsome does not mean to pass something on where the hell did you get that definition. Hasn't anyone ever called you handsome... even you granny?

Well this all started back about 75 years ago. there was 2 guys putting a roof on a house and the 1 guy ran out of nails. Well he look at the other guy and said. Handsome nalis over here!! Handsome was derived from 'Hand' used in middle English to mean easy to handle or use, this then lead to the word bieng used to mean suitable, apt or clever, in the 16th century. The current use as meaning 'good looking' followed soon after that.
