i think the yanks have a shot at the AL east. but in order to do that, they really need to get their pitching straight. randy johnson in particular really needs to come through, he can't keep getting shelled every other game he starts.it would also be nice if jarod wright could pick up a couple of wins, without having to get pulled out of the game in the 5th of 6th inning. mussina and wang have been amazing this year.
if sheffield and matsui, come back at 100%, their line-up will be incredible, but, it's all gonna come down to pitching, which has been the yanks achilles heal, for the past couple of years.......

yankees suck and the red sox will knock them out of the AL East and Wild Card races when we beat them head to head down the stretch. Tigers will win Central, Twins take Wild Card

They'll win the division. They absolutely have a chance against the Tigers. More like would the Tigers have a chance against the Yankees in a 7 game ALCS. But personally, I don't think the Tigers will win their ALDS series

I think they will win the AL east because they always win the AL east!!! And the Yankees just have to keep on winning games and then they'll win for sure!

With the addition of Abreu I think the Yankees have a legitimate chance of not only going to the World Series, but winning it. Yes, they do have shaky pitching this year. But that lineup can easily produce 5+ runs a game. Mussina, Johnson, and Wang are all capable enough to get the team deep into the playoffs.

I think they will make the AL east because they have just now taken over the lead position in the East and are doing a great job of keeping it by sweeping the Jays.....

AL East winners... again! And I'm a Sox fan! With Tek and too many pitchers out, I have to concede to the pinstripes again.
As for the Tigers, yeah the Yanks have a chance. They have more postseason experience.

Yanks in a cake walk. Boston is going to feel what the Yanks have been going through all year and that's injuries. Varitak being injured is going to hurt their chances. Add that to the injuries to Nixon and Clement and its not a good thing for Red Sux Nation. I'm glad to see David Wells pictching for them. He looks horrible.
Go Yanks.

They'll win the East. Red Sux (who will finish out of the playoffs) will only be able to pull so many games out of their *** in the 9th inning before it comes back to bite them.
