As much I'd hate to see harry (or any of the others) die, I think she's right to do so. It sort of has to happen. Margaret Mitchell left "Gone With The Wind" wide open and someone came in years later and wrote a continuation, "Scarlett." It was BEYOND terrible. Rowling wants to protect the integrity and the originality of her characters. I can certainly respect her wishes to do so. Besides, in a battle between good and evil, there have to be casualties, and sometimes, that includes the main character -- much to the dismay of the audience :(

She said two main characters will die, she didn't say one of her favourites ( I think) or two of the good ones. I'm hoping is Voldemort and Petigrew, or the 2nd one might be Snape.. as long as its not Harry Hermione, any Weasley, Hagrid, Lupin or Tonks. I'll be OK,

Yes, I agree with you. But Peter Petigrew may not be killed. Who knows even Harry could be killed or rather to say sacrificed for the sake of may be Hermoine or Ron or even Ginny!!!

Let's think about this here. It's the culmination of the Harry Potter series, and it's children's books, therefore the bid baddy has to finally die. First to die will therefore be Voldemort, killed by Harry.

Rowling has said this is going to be the last Potter book. She probably doesn't want anyone else continuing it as someone else said. Therefore after killing Voldemort, Harry is going to die. My money is on Malfoy doing it.

You heard it here first!

It doesn't really matter as this is the last ever Harry Potter book anyway. J K Rowling has said in a recent interview that she has enjoyed the freedom of it because she can write whatever she likes without having to think about how it will affect the next book.

I agree. If they are the baddies like Snape, Voldemort, Pettigrew, Bellatrix, and Lucius; then they should definitely die. I really hope she doesn't kill Harry, as long as the trio is still alive at the end I don't care who else she kills off.

yeah because it will devestate fans to kill two of the good characters, a was getting reali worried in the last film wen they were all under water and the people had to save them and there were two people left and harry was the onli one there, but then he
saved them both so a was ok, but yeah if shes gonna kill two of them they might as well kill two of the bad people!

thats a reai gud question well done!!!
have a nice night!!!

At the end of the day, she has the RIGHT to kill of who she wants and how many people she wants. Whatever the ending, I'm sure she'll make it as brilliant and interesting as it's predecessors. I think that the fans of this book need to have more faith in J.Rowling and show their support more. After all she has given you this great piece of literature and therefore she should control it.

I know it is her right to do as she wants with her characters, but I absolutely agree with you. She doesn't need to kill anyone , she has done enough of that. It is old hat. ( Well that is my excuse. In reality it would make me cry at the cinema again-embarrassing)
