If you really, really want to get into film, than you're life will be made easier if you go to one of these three schools:
New York University
University of California, Los Angeles
University of Southern California
These are the top three film programs in the US, and I'd argue in the world. The contacts you'll make, alone, will make the tuition worth it.
Getting into film is all about talent...yeah, right. It's all about contacts and who you know. Of course, you DO need talent to back that up, but there are so many film graduates out there, most of them fabulously talented, that any edge you can give yourself will help.
If you can get into one of the three schools I mentioned, then GO.
Someone here mentioned NY Film School. That's not one of the best film schools out there. Best MARKETED, perhaps...

The New York Film School is very popular with great resources and has branches in other countries too.
