stuck on metal gear solid snake eater!?

Question

can someone help me please? lol i am stuck on "the end" boss. Its so hard. the hard bit is trying to find him! he keeps shooting me with his tranquiliser dart, and i can never get a shot at him! hes so small and quick. im using the motion dectecter, thermal goggles and that weird vibration thing but nothing! i see a dot to the right down n the ground so i threw a couple of grenades and suddenly he was right behind me and shot me! he scared the life out of me!! lol. hes well creepy. someone who had finished the game please have you got nay tips. some people say theres a glitch in this level but theres not on mine ha ha! thanks x

The best place to fight him is over in the area where you find the covered tunnel. There is thick/heavy brush/branches covering the entrance and they won't clear until you beat him. In that area there is spot with a lot trees around, this will make it extremely hard for The End to get a clear shot on you. In fact you can use the trees to your advantage. If and when he takes a shot at you, you can stand behind a tree for cover. He will constantly hit that tree until he decides that he needs to move to a better sniping position. While he's shooting the tree you're hiding behind bring up the map. You should see atleast 6 or 7 white circles, a RED circle and an X, which represents your position. The RED circle represents The End's current position. Now you track him down.

There are 2 other alternatives to beating The End

1. Quit and save the game at the point where you're fighting The End. Turn off the PS2 and then turn it back on. At the browser screen go to your PS2 settings and change the date by a couple of weeks or month. Example go from 08/04/2006 to 09/04/2006 then exit settings and start the game normally. When the game goes to start you'll find a cut scene/movie will play. It'll show Snake sneaking up on The End with his pistol drawn. He'll tap The End who will fall over because he has died. He died waiting for you.

2. Once you get to the area where Snake is travelling through a swamp/small creek/water you will come to the docks. At this point you'll see the guards wheel The End out in his wheelchair for some fresh air. You should have your gun [preferrably a rifle] ready to snipe him at this point. HURRY!!! You'll only be able to get off a couple of shots before they wheel him back inside. GO FOR HIS HEAD!!! If you manage to kill him at that point, watch out!!!! His wheelchair will explode and take off and end up landing right on your head. If this happens you won't have to fight The End in his normal area. You will instead have to fight 7 or 8 members of the Ocelot unit instead - which will be much, much easier.

one option is lay on the ground and place a claymore behind you so when he sneaks up he blows up.....
Alternatively save the game in the fight switch off set your clock two weeks in advance and he will have died of old age ( we haven't tried it but this is what we were told....
The way we did it as soon as he shoots at you press start and it will show you where he is then sniper him.....

To get the moss camouflage you have to sneak up on him and hold him up...
