Here's a neat way to do it with just paper and pencil...

put a point at the center
put a point straight up at say 10 blocks high

now if you draw a line up to that point, then since a circle is 360 degrees, then the other two lines would be 120 degrees away from it.

or straight over to the right 90 degrees plus down 30 degrees
and straight over to the left 90 degrees plus down 30 degrees

I know that the sin(30) = 1/2
and that is the height in Y divided by the diagonal length

so, find the horizontal line that is 5 blocks down from the center point

then get a peice of graph paper that is 10 blocks long

place 1 end on the center point and kind of rotate it about the center (and end) until the other end just touches that line that is 5 down

mark a point where it touches and repeat that on the other side

now if you draw a line from the center to each of those, you have 3 lines that divide the circle.

I hope you like this, I just made it up :)

Make a circle with compass or calliper and with the same opening make 6 points on that circle, by sticking the needle at one point and making two traces on both sides of the circle, around the point of sticking. DO the same at the other side of the diameter, defined with the two sticking points (one on the circle, and the other in the center of the circle). THus You make 6 points. Connect every second one with the center and You will get the circle divided into three pieces.

Make a circle using a protracter, then get a angle measuring device, and make a mark at 0, 120, 240. Then get scissors cut out the entire circle. Cut down st8 from the three markings, and you will have it.
