You are having Braxton Hicks contractions. Your body is getting ready for labor. This does not necessarily mean you will have your baby at night. You could go into labor at night and not have the baby until the next day.

It's probably Braxton Hicks contractions and it's normal.
You also might be a little dehydrated. Try drinking some water also.
I don't think there's an accurate way to tell what time you will go into labor.

What you notice on common, is what is average. Example: in case you see a individual hiccuping that often average but when its nonstop for days or months, that is definitely no longer average. Also if a individual was once born with anything like six arms on every hand would possibly not appear average to us however it's average to that individual. So frequently it is an man or woman factor that no person else will realise.

you body is for sure preparing you for the big day. it does not mean it will be in the night, but it is coming. watch for leakage! and when the contractions start time them. they have to be 5 minutes apart on the dot for at least an hour, and you will be feeling lots of pressure. then you are in labor. good luck, I am 20 weeks behind you. congrats.
blessed be.

Children are born at all times of the day -- daytime, afternoon, evening, nighttime. The cramping pains is your body telling you that you are getting ready to deliver the infant. If you feel them for longer than an hour -- and they start getting consistent, then by all means, go to your OB clinic, and get examined -- because you need it!

Sounds like your body may be gearing up for labor.
The good news is, any work your body has done ahead of time may help to make labor easier and shorter!

I had sorta the same thing. I'd start to get a pain in my lower back, in the evening like you said, then it would get worse and almost make me cry. That started the week before I had my daughter. (Went in at 6:30pm, had her a little after 2am.)
