If you actually want a career in it, consider looking to an apprenticeship. My ex was an apprentice electrician and he's now raking in the money.

If you want to learn how to do simple electrical and plumbing jobs around the house, your local Home Depot or Lowe's often offer classes on how to do these things. I found a book at amazon.com on DIY that might help.

Plumbers and Electricians are "Tradesmen" and more highly skilled than "Handymen" who only do simple repairs. These and other trades are learned through apprenticeships or at trade schools and are generally subject to licensing requirements.

Yes there are all kind of book on it. But damn a bunch of book just go DO IT!!! As for me I am A Jack or all trades and a master of only 1.. The being I am a master it being a NUTCASE!! And you heard it here first from a REAL Nutcase!!""NUT'S""..PS ..did i win...did i win...did i win???
