You will need to check the history of your internet browser.
If your using Internet Explorer do this:
1. Open up your browser
2. Click the SunDial icon on located at the top of your browser...
This is all you need to do, a list of the past websites visitied will be shown on the side of the browser. How long into the past you can look depends upon the settings you have.
To change the settings...
1. Open up your browser
2. Click the tools option at the top of your browser
3. In the General Tab there is a section labeled with that same sun dial icon
4. Change the days you would like to keep the history around...
Hope this helps

Normally any internet browser maintains a history of pages visited. This can be configured according to our requirements whether to save the places visited in history or not and if so saved for how many days or maybe how many bytes to be stored. Using this history one can easily find out all the websites that have been visited recently. Even going through the cookies that are automatically saved you can find out. Also certain third party software are available in the net ,that can gather all the websites visited from a computer and store them in a place for inspection. The same may be downloaded and installed in your computer.

Index.dat files allow Microsoft Windows to find Web files faster. It is an index containing names of files that have been stored in the "Temporary Internet Files" folder. These files are usually either Web pages that have been visited using your computer or images viewed on the Web that appear on those visited Web pages.
The file is known as a "system file", so it is hidden from view if you search for it on your computer, however instructions on how to find them on your computer are below
In Windows 95 and 98:
Click your START button, then Find, next "Files or Folders". A box will appear. In the "Named:" field type index.dat . In the "Look in:" field click the down arrow and choose "My Computer". Check off the "Include subfolders" box. Then click "Find now".
In Windows XP:
Click START, then Search then "For Files and Folders". Next click "All Files and Folders" then type in index.dat in the "All or part of the file name" box. Under the "Look in" option choose "My Computer". Then click "More advanced options" and check off "Search system folders" as well as "Search hidden files and folders".

Even though a lot of people say that, if someone was going to a site you don't want them to go to(E.G. Pr0N) they would probably clear the history which is very easily done just by clicking on internet options and then privacy, or if you're are using firefox press ctr+shift+delete.

if you have internet explorer...
Go to Tools --> Internet Options --> General (tab) --> Temporary Internet Files --> Settings --> View Files
Thats the one your kid probably does not know about...
But if they don't know anything, go to View --> Explorer Bar --> History...
