It happened in Nigeria recently when the top guy who is currently serving his second 4 year term wanted to change the Nigerian constitution so he could run for the third term. The journalists went to overtime explaining to the people of Nigeria that we were heading for dictatorship. Eventually commonsense prevailed and the senated voted against constitutional amendment.
There comes a time in the life of a country when she decides it must not be led like a cow. I think the people of Nigeria have attained that level. the rest of Africa should follow.

How exactly would you enforce it?
Besides, its an internal affair, so the UN wouldn't get involved.
