I'm writing a book, inspired by history and legend, about the origin of civilization and pantheonic gods on atlantis. I know its dumb to want this, but I want this book to be the best human written book ever.

It can be the "best human written book ever" to someone,
but never to everyone.

Write it in a way that will make you love it.
Write it with your head and your heart
and then sit back and enjoy the satisfaction.
Be pleased with your work.

Good Luck!

I understand your desire, but all you can do is the best job you can. Do your research; make sure the "basics" are there: spelling, punctuation, grammar, flow of writing, etc. Be sure you are not using others' thoughts/ideas.

I don't think you yourself can ultimately be the best judge...if your book gets published, then it's up to readers/critics/ to do the "judging."

Only so much is within your control. Good luck and happy writing! (I'm a writer, too)

Choosing your audience is the first step in writing a book. Knowing who your target audience is will help you gear the novel toward them. So if you want your book to be read by many, make it deep enough for very intellectual readers and easy to understand for more simple minded or young readers.

A bit like an essay... answer the question (that you have set yourself) clearly, conscisely with a beginning, middle and end BUT give it your own inspirational flair from your heart.

Give it plenty of time so you can tread carefully.

Good luck
