I'd say if its your first time, pick a cheaper hotel like Excalibur or Circus Circus. You won't be there much so don't spend the extra money. Most hotels are nice and inexpensive. I stayed at Excalibur twice out there and loved it. Once you are there take an entire day to walk the strip. Its probably a few miles long so its a lot of walking. But in February its not too hot out there. Start with your own casino and make sure you walk around at night. Bellagio has a fantastic water show out front the hotel, Treasure Island puts on a pirate show and Excalibur puts on some sort of medieval show. These are all out front the hotel on the strip. I also went to hoover dam. Usually the hotel you stay at runs deals and you can pick up a shuttle right there. Good luck and have fun. Honestly, it doesn't matter if you gamble or not there is plenty to do out there.

If you are looking for Glitz and Glamour then stay at the Bellagio. If you are looking for fun stay at circus Circus - I personally stayed at Excallibur (budget Value) and it was great - go to the old strip and watch the lights - see the fountains outside of the Bellagio and make sure to see a Vegas Show - all of the Casino's have them and it is an experience. By the way you can by a cocktail at any of the casino's and walk up and down the strip drinking it because the street is actually a licensed venue - Have a great time - you cant not in Vegas.

since it's your first time, stay in the middle of the strip, Harrah's, Flamingo or Imperial Palace (IP has the best deal for your money, then use what you save to go everywhere else). Your first time will be spent just visiting the rest of the big hotels. Cant miss the Venetian (Guggenhiem and Hermitage museums). Bellagio (Bellagio Galary of Fine Art) Wynn...its incredible. Ceasars Palace (The Galleria). go online and do your research first. Freemont Steet downtown is great also, especially at night

Stay at Caesars !!!
You would have all the opulence of the best LV resort and easy access to the world famous Forum Shops.
Best of all you are in the center of the strip and can easily walk to all the other resorts like Bellagio, The Venetian and The Wynn
if you are not driving, look into vacation packages with Southwest airlines (they have the lowest prices)
Hope you make time for the Sterling Buffet at Bally's !!!

Good Luck and travel safely

The Venetian is great. All Rooms are suits. The strip is the place to stay. Downtown is still pretty scary in my opinion.

If you want to do more than the show / casinos you might want to consider renting a car. The Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon are worth a visit.

They're all good. Check out all the ones located right on the strip for the best deals and just go with the cheapest. Being on the strip puts you in walking distance of all the places you're going to want to visit anyways. No matter where you stay you're going to have a blast. And plan on eating real good. Lots of good places to eat everywhere and at real cheap prices.

Stay right on the strip that way you are close to everything. I went for a conference in May for my first time and I was about 20 mins from the strip. I wish I would have stayed closer even though my place was really nice.

If it's your first time, you want to do it right! Stay at the Bellagio, have dinner at the Wynn, and party everywhere! I suggest spending the day gambling at the Palms, shopping at the Forum Shops at Caesars, or lounging by the fabulous pool. At night, take in a show or two, and then hit the clubs. I love Pure at Caesars and Light at the Bellagio. Have fun!

I for my part like Planet Hollywood and Ceasar's Palace. If you prefer artwork and museums, you're going to too. There are no less than five, regardless that I'm beautiful definite there are extra. They have well meals and searching, and In my opinion, the surroundings is beautiful pleasant as good. I'd say that the Venetian is without doubt one of the ingenious accommodations additionally.
