I met several of them when I worked at a stadium (they played concerts and I was a backstage caterer). Some were very down to earth. One that comes to mind was Bryan Adams. Others were, well, a little out there. Prince and P Diddy come to mind in that category. And still others were ever stranger with weird requests for their dressing rooms. In the end, they were all people and the novelty of them being famous wore off real quick.

Many years ago (20 yrs ago?), I met Carroll O'Connor at a dinner party. I spoke w/ him for about 20 minutes, and he was super nice and the complete opposite of his Archie Bunker character on "All in the Family."
I have also met Walt Frasier (from the old Knicks) several times, as he was one of my dad's clients. He was so nice & friendly. One night he took us to Earl Monroe Night (when they retired his uniform) and the pre & post party where I got to meet Dave Debusher, Earl Monroe, Bill Bradley, Arthur Ashe, Marv Albert and several others.
I am friends with Aisha Tyler (who was on Friends, 24 and several other shows). We went to college together, we were in the same a cappella group, and I went to her wedding. She is so nice, smart & funny (actually, hilarious).

many years ago, when Colin Powell was a mere brigadier general he sat beside me on a plane trip. I have to tell you that I was impressed then. I thought to myself, this guy must really be something special--a black general. But I didn't know at the time how special.
The only person in the Bush administration that I respect.

I met P. Diddy in Times Square :) He was ok, but he was crowded by a lot of people and he was charging for pictures because he was doing a charity run the next day and he was trying to raise as much money as possible. I got to stand right next to him though and I got my picture taken with him!

I used to work for a record label in Germany, and we had a couple very popular singers there (for Germany)...also visited the PopCom convention in Duesseldorf/Germany and met many other singers there.
My opinion? Backstage they are just the regular 'average' people, with their problems and joys like everyone else. Some of them I liked a lot, some of them I couldn't stand...just like with everyone else.

I've met Heather Locklear and Heather Thomas (who used to be famous when she was on The Fall Guy). They were both lovely ladies who were very gracious with their time. It was quite enjoyable.

Yup. Got to meet George Bush (the daddy) at a political event when he was VP and Barbara Bush. I thought they were very nice, got to shake their hands.
Also got to meet Bernard Shaw from CNN once (he was on a plane leaving Atlanta that I was on). Thought he was very interesting because he had so much knowledge about the world.

I met Queen Elizabeth 2nd when I was ten years old. She shook my hand. She seemed to be a very nice person for someone in her fifties who was so busy all the time.
