Do we just asume they breathe air like us? We go into space and wear special suits so we can breathe and also have gravity boots so we dont fly away. We expect all alien planets have the same gravitational force as earth which I doubt would ever be true. The same sun light, heat, air etc etc etc............. lol just a thought!

That's right, aliens would live in a alkaline liquid high in sulphar to support them and they have no bones. The liquid would have to be heated to high tempertaures. They would continually filture the liquid through special organs which take out a mixture of hidrogen and oxygen from the liquid. Their by-priduct would be pure, clean water.

They can live on Earth, but only under the sea near underwater volcanoes.

When we realise this, we can co-inhabit the Earth and mutiually benefit.

I think they would be smart enough to take all their jabs before visting Earth. On the Vulcan website it clearly states all the injection they'll need to take before engaging in intergalactic colonialism.

I guess it's in order to start the film off with a plot and sustainable story. Can you imagine if the opening scene of The Day The Earth Stood Still had Klaatu stepping out of his saucer, collapsing choking and being crushed to death by our atmosphere, followed by the credits rolling. Or if all you need to do to kill a predator is knock his helmet off.

I suppose that the aliens are only visiting Earth because of its similarity to their own planet's conditions, in the same way that we are concentrating on getting manned missions to Mars or the moons of Jupiter and Saturn far more than trying to establish a base on Venus.

Their superior technology allows for scanning of planets so they know in advance what the atmosphere will be like, in much the same way we can tell what the atmosphere of Mars, Jupiter etc. are like. I expect they do have special suits, but they are probably kept in little alien boxes under their beds in case they visit a planet with a dodgy atmosphere. Would be good if they did have to wear suits though, they wouldn't have benn able to integrate into our society so easily then would they! (I'm certain my boss is one)

Primarily because hollywood focuses on visual appeal, not logical accuracy. There are a few exceptions where the movie aliens need special aparatus to survive in our atmoshpere, but generally that would cover up the monstosities that the movie studios spent millions in special effects to show off.

For any any alien race to purposely come to our planet could have a objective, be it that wreck the human race and scouse borrow our aspects. or Make peace and help us strengthen. For no different reason could they arrive area shuttle and exploration does no longer in easy words be severe priced yet take a reliable few hundred years to entice close.

They dont need them. That is why they are not wearing them. We have air, gravity, and so when we go to other planets (Except on Star Trek) we have to take our own air. Oh and you are hot too.

That's why there are no more Martians - they didn't wear protective suits when they invaded!

Let this be a lesson to any wannabe alien invaders!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Earth: 1
Mars: 0

Good point. Generally, that's true. Not as exciting looking at a spacesuit as it is looking at a slimy alien, though.
