My wife has started wearing big 'full' knickers, rather than the little ones that she used to wear. (She's 34)

These big knickers are pretty much like the ones that 'Bridget Jones' wears, (Low leg, and up to her bellybutton) and she says that they are healthier than little ones or thongs.

Is this a fashion thing, health thing or is she just wanting to wear comfortable knickers? they are a nice shiny fabric, just a little dull in the range of colours! (I'm sure they are from M&S)

Does anyone else of her age or similar wear them, or would you not be seen dead in them?

Big Knickers are healthier and more comfortable. I would much rather wear them (I am 32) and have everyone laugh at me.

To look good would you want a thong/piece of string cutting into your backside? Thought not.

Comfort is more important than looks.

I'm the same age as your wife and I love my big M&S pants.

It's a sad truth that by the end of the day a girl's pants are a bit sweaty, damp and sticky.

I started wearing big pants as I got sick of having sore bits from sticky thongs wedged up my privates all day! (Pant liners just don't stick properly into thongs, they twist about.)

Unless you're a stick insect, small pants (as oppose to thongs) will give you killer pantyline or squash the slightest bit of flab into strange places in your jeans.

There's no danger of me shagging my boss in the back office, so I don't need to wear sexy pants in case a spontaneous moment comes along.

Big pants wash easily, give you a nice shape and stop your bits getting sore. M&S also do really groovey ones with stars and polka dots, so it's win alround!

Its her choice at the end of the day, if you dont find them sexy then maybe you could speak to her and see if you can choose some sexy lingerie together for her to wear for you, but let her wear her big knickers in the day time.

Big knickers are actually quite sexy, and they are more comfortable to wear. How would you like a thong stuck up your posterior?

ugh, no!
lycra boxer shorts at worst, but cos they are comfy when its damn hot,

buy her some nicer ones from NEW LOOK.

Whats her sex drive like? we all have knickers for period week, cos a little pair of knickers is completely useless then,
is she body conscious? are they for flattening her tummy?

some knickers designed today dont flatter but highlight bad points, unless you are stick thin or pre children... maybe shes feeling insecure about her shape??

That's her choice. If you're concerned, discuss it with her. Maybe even go and buy a few that you like, or would like to see her in as examples. As long as they come down for you, what difference does it make, anyway?
