I generally prefer the older guys - Sir Sean Connery, Tom Hanks, Al Pachino, Robert DeNiro, Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson, Clint Eastwood etc...too many good guys

On the basis of varied choice of roles, intelligent and thoughtful performances, and not belonging to the movie machine - Johnny Depp. Of course, he's easy on the eyes, but that doesn't make you a great (or even mediocre) actor.
