It can be done via cash machines.

Or you can get a card from the nearest mobile phone shop for the network for phone is on. There is a telephone number on the back of the card, phone that, and tell them the card number and the mobile number to register. Then you can take the card into any shop and ask them to credit £X to the card, and this will get transferred onto the phone.

For example, my phone is on Orange. I can give the card I have got to my Dad along with the money, and ask him to go into the Orange shop when he is passing, and credit my phone with £10.

If you can get hold of a swipe card that has been registered to their phone - you just get it swiped at the local shop - or you can get a new one and get in touch with the service provider to get it added to their number (not sure if you need their security info for that though). You can also do it online or via debit/credit card. When I top up from my handset using a card it asks if I want to top up my own phone or someone elses - guess you need to be on the same network though (not sure)

I think some networks still sell vouchers too - so you could buy one of them and give the number of that voucher to the owner of the phone (same as when you pay at a till and get a receipt number).

If they are willing to let you do it theres a number of ways - however if for some reason you want to do it without them knowing I am not sure other than ringing the network and asking them to credit the phone maybe via credit/debit card.

Most mobile phones can be topped up from Cash points these days, especially Barclays or Lloyds, you can top up any mobile phone there by selecting Mobile phone credit>provider (orange, BT etc) then amount of credit wanted> then it asks for the number to be put in!

Voila! Ring ring........ hello, oh! You would like to give me the ten points, well that's lovely ! Cheers! X
