Instead of sending their own troops to Lebanon, why are Muslim countries urging UN forces?

Muslim countries have engaged Israel before. Atrocities were committed on both sides that created long-lasting animosities. Nothing has ever been resolved.

Einstein said that doing the same thing and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.

I think it makes sense to bring in UN peacekeeping troops to create boundaries on the level of conduct. Israel has been unable to contain its bombing and use of overwhelming force; the UN can meet that force and diplomatically address the government at the same time.

Forone thing the best peace keepers are ones who are not directly involved in the conflict, or ones that would take sides. For istance if England were invaded, woudl the US make good peace keepers, not really we would have more of an interest in helping allies, not being a neutral third party.
