Dogs tend to act on instinct, while humans tend to act on self interest.

Humans have prehensility and pentadactylity. Dogs do not.
Humans ratio of cranial capacity is much greater.
Humans are omnivores with a predisposition to herbivore/fructivore.
Canines are carnivores with happenstance leanings toward omnivore.
Humans are bi-pedal, canines are quad-pedal.
Humans have culture, dogs do not.
Human gestation is much longer.
Humans have far less young per birth and spend much longer raising them.
Human life is a combination of nature and nurture, a dog is primarily nature (at least in the wild).
Humans mate face to face (or are able to) while dogs mate face to back, which relates to monogamy is mating partners and patterns.
Humans are able to climax in sex, dogs are not (they ejaculate, but it is not a specifically 'pleasurable' experience.)
Humans are able to grow food, dogs must scavange and hunt.
A human can care for a dog, but a dog cannot provide for a human....

Those are just starters...

in living species there are 5 matters so to say. Air, water, earth, fire and ether (if i'm not mistaken). in the lower species such as plants etc, they only have one or two of the matters. The higher species such as animals have got 4 of the five, that would be dogs right. and us as humans are the only living species to have all 5 , this is the difference and therefor why we are the rare to have a human birth (if you beleive in reincarnation and karma, we work our way up from the lower forms to the human existence through positive karma) in order to recieve liberation. its only as humans that we may obtain this....this is my opinion, but hindu's have this similar form of belief. if you're interested i can send you links on more of this in depth...

Dogs are loyal, loving, compassionate, affectionate, smart and cute and so on...My favorite saying in the dog category is" If I could just be half the person my dog thinks I am then I would be great! My dog rocks and he thinks I am the bomb! (He's right!)

Great question,

Genetically speaking there is but two chromosones difference.
Those two chromosones have given the dog the ability to lick it's own balls and not care whether it humps dogs /peoples legs / chairs / cars...

They have evolved much further than us

Yep - there is some - You are free to shot dogs anytime of year if they bite you .
Dogs have 4 legs , none hands.
They are almost stuped and wild creatures - something like wolf version 1.1;
They try to exists acording to it's owner needs, but once owner is against them - they is against him too.

Well - there is alot of people that have some kind of "trust" to theese creatures, anyway - i'm not of them ...
