For this u both have to appear before judge at a marriage court with proof of your age (which should be 18 for girl and 21 for boy). The court will fix a future date. In the meantime, court will send notices at the addresses given by both of you. One notice is pasted on notice board of the court stating that so and so wants to get married if anybody has objection, contact the court. If nobody objects u can get married. Two witnesses are required but they are readily available at court itself. However, an advocate with right connection can do away with all this formalities. Best of luck

it doesn't matter u r from where if u wanna call ur parents they can come to US also .

yeah u shud say that u don't wanna tell ur parents about it n wanna marry.

i will tell think twice before doin it as in a city like Mumbai u will get more of frauds then real sincere people.

if u think the guy u r marrying is OK for u then u can tell 2 of ur friends or relatives who can go with u n sighn in the court as witnesses then u can marry.

but again i will caution u for this thing esp people staying in Mumbai if u don't know from where he belongs to (basically) n whether he is already married or not .

You might have better luck finding an answer on the Y Answers India site. You posted your question in the USA branch of Y Answers. Courtship and marriage traditions are very different over here and Americans can't really help you.

Good luck in your search for a suitable husband.
