Gas could be like 2.89 today and 3.19 tomorrow, and in a week from now it would be back to 3.15. Whats the deal with that?

Well since today gas rose by 15 cents here i would say it is because we show them that we need it too much- we are oil dependent and until that changes, all we can do is helplessly watch it go up...

unless....

I heard that if 60% of us start to take public transportation the gas companies would be FORCED to lower prices. Wouldnt that be something??

Because our president and all his friends are big oil men getting richer and richer off those price jumps, but throw us back a few pennies now and then and tell us the price is dropping

I'm afraid you have to accept it. Oil rich nations, together with greedy manipulative world oil coy's are in collusion and do what they like. If some guy came out with a cheap substitute revolutionary fuel, a 'contract' would be taken out on him.
