"Do you like crinkle cut french fries? or normal ones?"
First, what is a normal fry?
Okay, this answer comes from a potato lover so sit back and be prepared to read a long answer.
1. There is no such thing as a normal french fry. (Oh, over here in New York, we generally call them "FREEDOM FRIES") .
There are these types of Fries:
1. Crinkle cut (large)
2. Crinkle cut (on a small scale -usualy frozen)
3. Nathan's Fries -at Coney Island -WOW the best!
4. Nathan's Fries --at other Nathan's stores -okay
5. Steak Fries -- These are large tasty fries that people usually eat with steak , usually called dinner fries.
6. Curly fries, and the spicy ones that you see at Arbys'.
7. The BEST fries ever are WAFFLE FRIES --These I've seen only in North Carolina .
8. Then there are a derivation of the fries called, "Potato Skins" , sometimes they are fried and sometimes baked or microwaved.
Then there's things that people try and pass off as fries -called "string fries" -Usually sold at McDonalds or Burger King or fast food places.
9. Then there is JOHNNY ROCKETS Cheese Fries...WOW, these fries are a meal in themselves. They are very tasty and very healthy -well,some fat but at least it's veggie fat.
10. Then there are home made fries that you make in your own kitchen. These are tasty and made to order for the size , shape and texture that you like yourself.
11. The worst kinds of fries are usually, I said, USUALLY , the fries that you get from a Chinese Restaurant. Remember their specialty is Chinese FOoD not American or French food. Their fries usually taste like old, greasy oil, the oil used to fry the noodles and other things. I'd stay away from these unless you have no choice.
So there you go , that's the run down on fries.
I love the WAFFLE FRIES first and then second , Johnny Rocket Cheese fries and then Nathans at Coney Island fries.
WARNING: Do not go to Coney Island after dark alone. And when there do not go near the homeless of Coney Island.
Coney Island was nicnamed, the MURDER CAPITAL OF THE USA, and most of the murders take place after dark.
oh yes, as far NORMAL FRIES? Awww..there are no normal fries , anywhere.

I like the crinkle cut ones better! Not only are they more interesting to look at, but their wavy shape holds on to ketchup better! Mmm... Now I have a craving for french fries!! ^_^

Crinkle ones are crispier. Except if someone bakes them instead of frying them, then they are just yuuuuuuk.
