Piggies take a lot of special care. My cats and piggies get along just fine, but piggies need human or piggie company.

I used to have a guinea pig and a jack russell, the dog was a ratter but never hurt the pig. If they grow up together there's no problem.
But in the end I gave the pig away to someone that already had one, because I found out they are supposed to live in groups. They talk to each other all day long and get lonely on their own. So either get two guinea pigs, or don't get one at all.

Guinea pigs are very social animals and should never be kept alone. Also, when they are together you will get to observe their behaviour interactions and different noises they make to one another. Only one of their many noises is reserved for talking to humans ('feed me!').
N.B. 2 female guinea pigs together is fine but 2 males will fight unless introduced at a very young age (brothers are best). Even so, 2 brothers will fight if a female is introduced into the equation...
Never keep a Guinea pig and a kitten together...

Get two kittens. Two can keep each other company while you are at work or school. Guinea pigs are kind of stinky, they bite, and really aren't much company. Just make sure that you are ready to commit the time and energy it takes to raise two kittens, they can get in lots of trouble before they are grown and settle down. And make sure you get them spayed/neutered as soon as they are old enough. However, if you don't want your cats to have the run of your house you shouldn't get them at all, cats can't be locked up in cages all day.

Two kittens. Guinea pigs only live for about 3 years and they need to have their cages cleaned out regularly so the responsibility is higher than tht of a cat. Cats are quite independant and as long as they have a warm place to sleep, food and water they are happy.

I'd be inclined to go for 2 of the same as won't get the same quality of companionship from a different species. The kitten will do fine with just human company, so why not get 2 guineas and one kitten?

They don't make good pals for each other. A cat can never be trusted when you are not watching it. I love cats, I just would never trust one with my guinea pigs. I would get two of each. I have 4 male guinea pigs and provided they have enough space, they don't fight. They are very social animals.

Kittens may harm guinea pigs. Guinea pigs are prey animals, kittens/cats are predators.
Get one or the other. If you get both, make sure you keep them completely separated.

Get two kittens, they can be so independent and keep each other company, and NOT eat the guinea pig!

get two kittens - preferably not from the same litter otherwise they won't bond with you very well.
The kitten as it grows will not keep the cavey company it will try and eat it.
Caveys are naturally a "herd" animal - they like company so get two of those.
Fraid its Noahs Ark time!
