From all I've read about the revolution (granted not much but some) it all seems very positive that it's enhanced the cuban populous' quality of life and kicking out the oppressors was teh best thing that ever happened to them. granted politically now, it isn't great, but what country is? So why does America hate cuba? The only sources that tend to be anti-castro are American.
And if it is, as I suspect, that the American multi-nationals got kicked out and unable to oppress another nation into near-slavery, what possible propaganda is shown in America to make this acceptable to it's people? How does the CIA get away with trying to assinate someone who is nothing to do with them? As I said above, I haven't read a lot, so feel free to contradict me on my points as well.

we are still pissed off from the cold war. The whole comunism thing and the missle thing. Pluse during the cold war we said they were evil so much how could the average person grasp them not being evil now if they did not change. We used to hate them for being allies with the USSR and it just kind of stuck.

Communism 90 miles off our coast is what we dislike. I happen to like Cuba and hope that Cuba could someday join the US by becoming a state. I happen to be a Georgia Redneck by the way.

Duhhhh.......Could it be because Castro is a Communist dictator who rules oppressively? If "quality of life" is so great why do Cubans try to escape to the U.S.?
