Just like your internet connection question you are not providing enough details. There are thousands of MP3 players on the market and they all have little differences in how they work. You need to provide details especially when asking questions in the Computers and Internet section. There are so many possible answers that unless people know the exact set up you are dealing with then you will have a much harder time getting an accurate answer.

If you have songs on your PC then you just connect your MP3 player with the PC using USB and just copy the songs on the player.
On windows XP it just plug and play, you just connect the MP3 player and it would show you as an external drive, you just copy and paste the songs to this mp3 drive.

download music to windows media ,set up your mp3 player on to the pc it should either have software or just plug it in and the pc know its there.
in windows media tick the songs you want on the right it has a drop down menu find your mp3 player there it will have options like copy to cd or supported devices hit copy and all songs will be transfered .

plug it into your computer using the usb cable provided and look in "my computer". it should mount as a memory device (hard drive).
find mp3's on your puter that you want to listen to & drag them to the device until you have all the stuff you want on there.
click on the little green arrow in the system tray and stop the device so you can safely remove it.
if you haven't got mp3's on your puter, you can use media player to make them, but I'd recommend ExactAudioCopy with LAME. It's a bit fiddly to set up, but it's well worth it for the quality of mp3 it makes.

hook it into that thingy in your computer (the bit on the end of the mp3 player into where it fits on the front on the computer.)
you have to already have music on your computer...go on your music and click any songs you want whilst holding ctrl.
thien right click on one of you songs chosen and click send.it will send all of your songs chosen to your mp3 and voila!
